Stress Management Therapy Key To Better Life

When a person is a little stressed, his body reacts and responds in situations instinctively and efficiently. But this can only be true to small dose of stress. When the dose arises, stress becomes unhealthy. It inhibits the person to perform well. With little stress, the body is pushed to work hard. This is in a positive way. While when the body is over stressed, the response is negative.

A person who is stressed out cant perform normally. His body reacts differently in situations. Stress can even lead to body disorders and illnesses. Because the normal functioning of the body is affected, the person isnt able to use his natural instincts when facing a situation. He becomes less creative and less efficient.

Identification Of Stress

Before you can even start managing stress, you should first identify the factors that trigger stress. The stress management therapy will be based on your stress factor. The therapy will be designed according to your own needs.

Once the stress triggering factors are identified, measures will be taken to help the individual in facing the same circumstances. The stress management therapy may totally eliminate the factor that causes stress or if not, reduce it to a more tolerable level.

Stress management therapy is vital especially today where everywhere there seems to be a tough competition. This makes us want to get the best and thus, we become stressed. Through a stress management therapy, you will be able to enjoy life the stress free way!

How Magnetic Therapy Can Help You

Magnetic therapy has been in use for many thousands of years and it is still just as effective as it was when it was in use by ancient civilizations, such as the Ancient Greeks and Romans. This form of therapy has become more popular in recent years due to people’s movement towards alternative medicine. This type of therapy is possibly more effective than it was previously since there have been many developments in the field since it was originally discovered.

One of the premium applications of magnetic therapy is magnetic jewelry that performs magnetic therapy while you are wearing it. This form of magnetic therapy can help you in various ways. Each different type of magnetic jewelry will provide you with different benefits, but certain beneficial attributes are common to them all. The potency of the beneficial effects corresponds to the length of time that the magnetic jewelry is worn. Therefore the longer you wear the jewelry, the more beneficial effects you will receive.

The magnetic therapy as provided by the magnetic jewelry will act as a pain relief for two reasons. Firstly, the magnets can help to stimulate the release of endorphins which are the natural pain killers of the body, which also help to stimulate the bodies healing process. The other means by which magnetic therapy can help with pain relief is that it can help to increase the rate of circulation, which can in turn help to flush away the toxins that may be a major cause of pain.

The magnetic therapy can also increase the level of oxygen in the blood stream that gets distributed within the body. This can help to increase your energy levels since the oxygen will be distributed to muscles and tissues. The increased level of oxygen can also help to increase your mental clarity and awareness. You are encouraged to wear your magnetic jewelry while you are sleeping so that you can increase the likelihood of having a long, deep sleep and waking up refreshed in the morning.

Magnetic necklaces can help to relieve pain caused by migraines and headaches, neck, back and shoulder pain as well as potentially relieving the pain caused by muscle spasms and lock jaw. Magnetic bracelets can help to relieve pain associated with, tennis elbow and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, tendonitis and bursitis, as well as helping to relieve the pains caused by arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Magnetic anklets can be of help when it comes to lowering the levels of pain associated with lower back and knee pain, spurs and inflammation in the legs and feet as well as helping to alleviate numbness of the legs. This is addition to the increase of mobility that the areas around the pieces of jewelry will experience. Not only do these pieces of magnetic jewelry give you amazing health benefits, they also look stylishly elegant and the ranges of styles that are available are sufficient to cater for anyone’s requirements.

Rolfing Relive Stress and Physical Discomfort through Structural Integration

ROLFING works with the connective tissue. Connective tissue wraps the body entirely, much like a wet suit does a swimmer. It wraps each muscle and muscle fiber in a continuous network, even supplying the internal membranes that wrap our bones and support our internal organs.

We all hold tension and stress in our bodies. You may feel it in your head, neck, shoulders and back most often. The stress may come from physical trauma like an auto collision, a fall or maybe surgery. It may be generated by life situations such as divorce, moving, abuse or a death in the family.

So what is ROLFING? To say that ROLFING is a technique for physically aligning and standing the body upright in gravity in 10 sessions somehow misses the point. For me, ROLFING is Dorothy, aged 67, a polio victim at three and surgery at 12, free of back pain and able to walk up and down stairs in a normal manner for the first time in 30 years.

ROLFING is Joyce, a 35 year-old attorney who says, my shoulder and neck pain are gone, and the greatest surprise is my new attitude and positive outlook on life. ROLFING is an Olympic medalist in gymnastics who had lived with the pain of working out and performing with bones broken and muscles torn in childhood, saying, my back is better, the pain is gone and I feel better.

The body responds to stress by tightening and shortening. Most people can identify the muscular body tightening associated with momentary stress. We say we ?hold ourselves together.? What most of us miss is how the yearly accumulations of day by day tightening and tension are locked into the body and affect our overall health. A distortion in one part of the dynamic system affects the total system. A hurt back, knee or neck might cause us to favor that area. Since we live in the field of gravity and are constantly struggling to hold ourselves upright our initial favoring can become a chronic imbalance and a limited movement pattern.

Physical approaches to dealing with stress and imbalance in the body have been around for a while. ROLFING is one of the earliest and most profound of the manipulation techniques; it is the most structured and developed system of “deep tissue work”. Rolfings premise is that the bodys organ of structure is the fascia; and that life is an ongoing encounter with gravity, the force that is always with us.

Dr. Ida Rolf she called it Structural Integration, her followers called it ROLFING, said

“One individual may experience his losing fight with gravity as a sharp pain in the back, another as the unflattering contour of his body, another as constant fatigue, and yet another as an unrelentingly threatening environment. Those over 40 may call it old age, yet all these signals may be pointing to a single problem so prominent in their own structure and the structure of others, that it has been ignored; they are off balance. They are all at war with gravity.”

Rolfing is also my 72 year old Uncle — who at 72 was still teaching tennis and golf despite chronic pain in his neck, shoulder and heels — standing upright in the kitchen telling my wife he still thought ROLFING was strange, but somehow it worked, he was no longer in pain.

Does Someone You Know Have Asthma?

This information comes from Asthma Society of Canada

“Doctors define asthma as a “chronic inflammatory disease of the airways” . It is one of the most prevalent chronic conditions affecting Canadians. Asthma can be diagnosed at any age, but often starts in childhood. Its prevalence in Canada has been increasing over the last 20 years and it is estimated that currently over 3 million Canadians have asthma.

“The three strongest risk factors for developing asthma are family history, exposure in infancy to high levels of antigens such as house dust mites, and exposure to tobacco smoke andor chemical irritants.

“We’re all pretty familiar with allergic triggers of asthmatic symptoms, such as mould, animal dander, pollen, dust mites, etc., but perhaps less familiar with non-allergic triggers such as certain drugs, chemicals, fumes and odours, respiratory viral infections, certain weather conditions, strenuous physical exercise, tobacco smoke, and air pollution.

“Urbanization appears to be correlated with an increase in asthma. The nature of the risk is unclear because studies have not taken into account indoor allergens although these have been identified as significant risk factors.

“Experts are struggling to understand why prevalence rates world-wide are, on average, rising by 50 every decade.”

At first reading, there isn’t much extremely shocking in this report. But with a little research, in my opinion it becomes alarming.

First of all, the report was updated in April of 2005, yet most of the footnoted references are from the mid to late 90′s. So the report is about “Canadians” in general; children are still not identified as a unique segment of the population, their needs, habits and susceptibilities are not taken into special consideration, even though the studies all concur that asthma often starts in childhood.

Next, approximately 3 million Canadians have asthma. You have to put that into the context of how many Canadians there are, which in the year 2000 was about 31 million, with an annual growth rate of approximately 1. So about 9.6 of all Canadians have asthma. Almost one out of 10. If one out of 10 Canadians were in a wheelchair, or wearing a cast, we would take notice. Alarming, since we treat it so casually. It’s a chronic disease, which means lifelong constant management and medication.

The world’s current overall as well as natural growth rate is about 1.3 per year, while prevalence rates of asthma world-wide are, on average, rising by 50 every decade. So asthma is occuring over 3 times more than can be accounted for by population growth. These are rough figures, just to give us an idea of what we’re looking at.

And this is only about asthma. It isn’t about illness from chemical poisoning, or deaths from poisoning, or lung cancer, or…

So it’s time to take steps to prevent asthma and other illnesses and diseases. At the very least, search for and buy the least toxic cleansers for household use. Get educated! Then, store all chemicals safely and securely away from children and pets.

Don’t allow smoking in your home, and be aware of and avoid air pollution, both inside and out. Air out your home completely three times a day. Did you know that cigarette smoke contains about 4,000 chemical agents, including over 60 carcinogens? The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency EPA, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences National Toxicology Program, and the World Health Organizations International Agency for Research on Cancer IARC have all classified secondhand smoke as a known human carcinogena category reserved for agents for which there is sufficient scientific evidence that they cause cancer.

The U.S. EPA has estimated that exposure to secondhand smoke causes about 3,000 lung cancer deaths among nonsmokers and is responsible for up to 300,000 cases of lower respiratory tract infections in children up to 18 months of age in the United States each year. If you have to smoke, just dig your own grave, don’t drag others with you!

Zeolite – Just a Fad or Can It Really Change Your Life

There’s a lot of buzz and hype going around about zeolite, but is it really as great as people are saying it is? I’ll admit, I was skeptical too at first. I mean, this product was claiming to help all sorts of health problems, including a huge one that we all face on a daily basis… which you’ll read about below. After I read the boatloads of testimonials, scientific evidence, and tried it out for myself though, my skepticism vanished. I believe that more people need to be told about the truths of zeolite, which is why I’ll be going over the key points and facts about it in the rest of this article.

So what’s the big problem that I was talking about? Toxins. Right now, there are an estimated 100,000 toxins chemicals floating around in our environment, about 25 of which have been known to be cancer-causing. Pretty shocking, right? The fact of the matter is, we are being more and more exposed to these toxins everyday. Whether it be from fluoride and other various chemicals the water we drink, the pesticides in our food, or simply the air we breathe, we definitely have a big problem on our hands here.

A lot of these toxins, like mercury for example, just linger around in our bodies. Day by day and year by year they continue to accumulate. Medical research suggests that as these toxins build up, they can possibly reek havoc on the immune system, hormone balance, enzyme activity, brain function, and cell growth. Not only that, but they can possibly lead to diseases like cancer down the road.

I mean, have you actually thought about how prevalent cancer is in our society now? About one in two men and one in three women will develop it in their lifetime. These lingering toxins and other impurities floating around in our bodies may be the culprit. I don’t know about you, but I sure as heck don’t want my life being ruined by a bunch of invisible toxic pests… especially if there was something I could do about it. That’s where cellular zeolite comes in…

First of all, all this zeolite talk isn’t new. It isn’t just a big fad that has been conjured up out of nowhere, and I’ll tell you why. For many years, centuries actually, zeolite has been used by people all over the world to achieve higher levels of health. So why haven’t you heard about it until now? Well, quite frankly, there’s a lot of natural health remedies we never hear about in the mainstream. Consider yourself lucky.

Anyway, what cellular zeolite does is basically trap toxins and other heavy metals in its honeycomb-like “cages”. Since it’s one of the few negatively charged particles in nature, it works at the cellular level much like a magnet. All those nasty impurities and toxins get sucked in, trapped, and then flushed out. And guess what? There are no real side effects except for minor dehydration. A few glasses of water a day solves that real quick.

So how can you get a hold of some? Well, originally, I personally was going to get some powdered zeolite, but found out that was a big no-no. Turns out, a lot of the powdered forms have already attracted some toxins from nature and haven’t been cleansed to remove them. So I searched around the net quite extensively and found a product called ‘Natural Cellular Defense’.

The zeolite in Natural Cellular Defense is cleansed and “activated” using a patented process that scientists developed. I don’t know the exact procedure, but I do know that it completely removes any impurities from the zeolite molecule and makes it up to 20x more potent. The best part? It’s liquid based and extremely convenient. All I do is put some drops in a water bottle, drink it throughout the day, and I’m good to go.

Yes, I do have more energy, more focus, morebetter sleep, and quite frankly, I just feel great. But that’s not the best part. The best part is knowing that my body is clean and I don’t have a bunch of junk floating around in it. To know that I have a solid footing against the toxins I’m continually exposed to, and that I’m going to hopefully have a very long and healthy life ahead of me. That’s the best part.

I’ve told tons of people about zeolite and have only gotten more and more positive comments. It’s a great feeling knowing that not only have I helped myself, but other people as well. I hope you’ll have the same feeling in the future and that this article has aided you in some way. Want more info? Check out one of the links below. If you want to get a hold of some, it’s just a few clicks away. All the best!”

Why Mind Over Matter Matters

Okay, so you made the decision to improve your health. Youre taking your vitamins, youve given up smoking and junk food, and youve decided to buy a juicer to take advantage of the health benefits of juicing. All good things. And, according to the latest studies, all things that may help in cancer treatment and prevention, as well as the treatment and prevention of a host of other ailments, including heart disease, asthma, allergies and high blood pressure. But, dont overlook one important element in helping your body stay healthy.

Your mind.

Thats right, your mind. Its called the MindBody connection. In a nutshell, what you believe in your mind can influence things in your body.

Its known that anxiety can make any illness worse. Anxiety can make pain feel worse, lower defenses that allow a cold virus to take hold, and can aid in raising your blood pressure. Sometimes the simple act of relaxing can do wonders for your health. Thats all part of the mindbody connection.

Youve heard of the placebo effect havent you? Thats when you get better thinking youre taking a certain medication, only to find out you were really taking a sugar pill. In almost all studies of medications, theres a certain percentage of people who improve taking the placebo. Why? Because they thought they were taking the real thing. They expected to feel better and they did.

Now, am I saying you can conquer any illness just by thinking yourself healthy? No. And, if you have any symptoms that concern you, you should see a health-care professional. But, using the power of positive thinking, belief and relaxation techniques in conjunction with healthy eating and modern medicine can certainly help with the treatment of any disease. It can lower anxiety, which can help improve any anxiety-related illness. It can ease nausea in cancer patients, which can help with certain procedures. It can lessen the effects of pain.

One way to increase positive belief is with hypnosis or self-hypnosis. Hypnosis allows you to get to that deep state of relaxation where you bypass the critical beta mind. Once in a relaxed trance state its good to imagine or visualize your body as perfectly healthy, and repeat positive affirmations to yourself about your body being in perfect health.

How does one get into a trance state? One way, of course, is to see a hypnotherapist who will use techniques to hypnotize you. Another way is to hypnotize yourself using self-hypnosis. The simple version is this Sit in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and begin actively imagining your body relaxing. Take several deep breathes, breathing in relaxation and exhaling any tensions. Start with your feet and imagine them as deeply relaxed. Work your way up your body, imagining that every breath you take brings the relaxation up into the rest of your body. Take your time. Its not a race. When youre through actively imaging your body relaxed, take yourself even deeper and imagine yourself going down an elevator, or a staircase, imagining every step down youre getting even deeper. I use a staircase of 21 stairs and count down. You can use any number you like. When youve reached 0 tell yourself youre in deep sleep, and tell yourself that every time you go down the staircase in your mind you will be deeply relaxed. At this point you imagine your body as healthy, while repeating your affirmations to yourself. Then, when youre through, just count yourself up and out from 0 to five, telling yourself to open your eyes, and that youre wide awake and alert.

Your self-hypnosis session neednt be long – 5 or 10 minutes will do. But, practiced daily will certainly help in relieving tensions and anxiety that can weaken your health.

And, remember, dont throw away the juicer or the vitamins. Juicers and vitamins and walking and eating healthy, as well as regular medical checkups, are all part of staying healthy. Remember, its called the mindbody connection.

Role of Alternative Medicine in modern society

Typically, alternative medicine differs from traditional medicine in that alternative medicine is older and what we might call unconventional or non-Western medicine. Alternative medicine does not follow the traditional science and research that current medicines undergo. Alternative medicine could also be termed complementary or traditional medicine or the therapies that can be integrated into current medicine. The staff of the National Library of Medicine of the United States classified alternative medicine under the category of complementary therapies in their Medical Subjects Heading Section. This was done in the year 2002. The definition provided was that alternative medicine therapeutic practices were not considered as an integral part of the traditional allopathic medicine. Therapies like acupuncture, dieting, physical therapy like exercises or yoga, etc. are termed as alternative medicine. These therapies are called complementary when they are used along with conventional treatments. If they are done in place of conventional treatments, they are known as alternative treatments.

In April 1995, the panel of National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, worked on Definition & Description, CAM Research Methodology Conference, Office of Alternative Medicine. The panel defined alternative medicine and complementary medicine as those healing resources that encompass all health systems and practices that are different from the dominant health system of a particular society or culture. Usually, therapies like ayurveda, herbal medicine, folk medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, naturopathy, diet practices, chiropractic, music therapy, massage, pranic healing, etc. are classified as alternative or complementary medicine. People who do not find a cure, remedy or success in allopathic medicine generally try alternative medicine. Such people generally suffer from cancer, arthritis, acquired immuno deficiency syndrome AIDS, chronic back pain, etc. Therapies included under alternative medicine would cease to be included in that category once their efficacy is proven and they are considered safe and effective. They are then considered as part of traditional medicine. An example would be chiropractors. Twenty years ago insurance would not pay for them as they were considered alternative and ineffective. Today thousands of people have been helped by chiropractors and they are now recognized in the medical community. A similar movement is underway in the nutritional supplement and nutraceutical industry.

Over the years, more and more people have been using alternative medicine because traditional medicine is not working for them. The 2004 survey by the National Center for Complementary & Alternative Medicine of the United States revealed that approximately 36 of Americans used alternative medicine in 2002. If alternative medicine is used in conjunction with traditional allopathic medicine, an integrative doctor is a persons best option. Some traditional doctors are adamantly against or simply do not believe in complementary medicine, even though research continues to show the benefits of many compounds. Your doctor should be informed about other approaches you may be using and if they are not comfortable with that then always feel free to choose another doctor. This would enable the doctor to foresee any possible complications or a better time in which to use a complementary therapy. The concern in using alternative medicine stems from the fact that some practitioners of alternative medicine do not have an accredited medical degree and therefore do not have a valid medical license. However, in recent times, many educational institutions and universities have started offering courses in homeopathy, ayurveda, siddha, unani, acupuncture, and naturopathy. The recent growth in this industry is evident by the many people demanding different, and in some cases better, care than what they are receiving in modern medicine. They are no longer accepting the fact that they need to suffer with pain or illness because modern pharmacy does not have a magic bullet for them.

The Many Uses of Natural Herbal Remedies and Oils

Now a days, there is a variety of essential oils, roots, and herbs available to support healthy living. These natural products can be used for treating ailments, flavoring your food, skin care, create perfumes, and manufacture environmentally safe cleaning products.

If you do not have room for a garden, a few herbs planted by a sunny window are enough to get you started. Subsequently, all you will need then are some essential oils and you are ready to embark on a wonderful journey to natural herbal remedies and medicine.

Essential oils versus blended oils.

The first to consider is the essential oils. Only the purest oils will do for therapeutic purposes. Do not be fooled into thinking that you are purchasing pure oil when in fact it is a blend of several oils. Blended oils are acceptable for fragrance such as perfuming a room, but pure oils are necessary for medicinal intent.

A general guide to the purity of oil is its price. Pure oils are normally more expensive. For instance, common oils such as lavender and geranium are less expensive than frankincense and carnation oil. Therefore, it is advisable to become familiar with essential oil prices and then rely on this knowledge when purchasing oils. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. In addition, a price list from a reputable dealer is a valuable resource when buying essentials oils.

Typically, pure oils cannot be applied directly to the skin and must be mixed with a base oil to lessen their strength. Base oils such as almond oil or wheat germ oil are generally used for this purpose. Base oils are generally derived from seeds, nuts, or vegetables.

Basic oils and natural remedies.

Lavender, without a doubt, is one of the most useful and desirable oils. It will work wonders on cuts, bruises and burns, and promotes sleep and relaxation.

The Tea Tree and Eucalyptus oils are useful for treating a variety of respiratory ailments. These are excellent medication for colds and coughs. These oils can be massaged into the chest or burned in an oil burner to help clear the airways and prevent congestion. Tea Tree oil is a natural antiseptic and can be dabbed on cuts, bites and stings. It is often used to treat spots and pimples and when diluted with water, acts as a mouth gargle keep in-mind it should never be swallowed.

Geranium oil with its characteristic perfume and pain relieving properties is a basic antiseptic. This herbal remedy should be part of your essential oil and natural herbal remedies garden.

Peppermint oil treats digestive upsets and may be used for breath freshening.

Patchouli and Ylang-ylang oils in an oil burner can perfume a room and add a sense of ambience. Orange oil mixed with Cinnamon oil is a pleasant winter scent that brings to mind seasonal holiday smells. Besides their perfume qualities, all four of these oils have other properties. Patchouli treats eczema and dandruff. Ylang-ylang is reputed to relieve stress, palpitations, and high blood pressure. Orange is used in natural remedies for depression and nervous tension. Cinnamon is excellent for warts and viral infections.

Thyme and Rosemary are considered herbs and can be grown in pots and used when needed. Both of these herbs can be used to create oils or flavor food. Thyme and Rosemary are also antiseptics and can be used in skin care preparations.

Lemon oil and fresh lemons will purify water. When lemon is mixed with honey, it is an effective herbal remedies for colds and flu. Lemon and white vinegar are highly effective cleaning agents that can be used for domestic cleaning tasks without damaging the environment. White vinegar is a natural disinfectant or mix it with water to clean windows and wooden floors.

If you want to keep the insects away this summer, Citronella oil or Garlic will do. Add a capsule of garlic to your dog’s food and your dog will not be bothered by fleas. You could also soak a soft dog collar in Citronella to keep fleas and mosquitoes at bay.

Garlic helps to promote a healthy immune system. When the weather turns cold and the viruses begin to circulate, adding garlic to your diet will leave you less susceptible. In fact, most of the oils and herbs listed above are effective in helping to prevent many common winter illnesses.

If you are looking for natural herbal remedies or nature friendly products, the oils and herbal remedies recommended above should help you get started.

Levitra Is A Pharmacy Wonder One Step Ahead Viagra

Levitra is an oral prescription medication used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction or impotence in men. Levitra has emerged as a competitor to Viagra. Though the purpose of Viagra is the same as that of levitra, still levitra is considered as a better medicine.

Levitra works by relaxing the muscles within the penis. This relaxation of muscles helps increase the blood flow and results in a natural erection of the penis. Despite the fact that both levitra and Viagra function in the same manner, the effect of levitra lasts longer than Viagra. It helps to achieve an erection easily and quickly and maintains it for a longer period of time.

Unlike Viagra, levitra has fewer side-effects and is safe for everyone even those who have heart disease. The side-effects that Viagra can have during a sexual intercourse can be severe. It can cause-

Breathlessness
Headache
Fainting
Swelling of face, lips or throat
Upset stomach
Painful penis erection
Diarrhea

The side-effects other than those listed above can also occur.

Levitra contains a more efficient enzyme inhibitor so only a small amount of the medicine is required. Therefore one pill of levitra is sufficient in a day. On the contrary Viagra is taken thrice a day. This shows that levitra is more effective than Viagra.

Levitra does not contain the disconcerting problem of blurred vision that men often report with Viagra.

Studies conducted earlier have proved that Viagra takes its effect in about 30 minutes. The effect does not last for more than four hours. Levitra on the other hand is faster in action and reaches maximum concentration within 30-40 minutes. Its effect lasts for about 16 hours.

The success rate with Viagra has been estimated about 84. This reflects that 4 out of 5 men are cured buy consuming this medicine. Whereas more number of people are being benefited by using levitra as its success rate has been counted upto 89.

Do not take levitra without the prescription of the physician. Your doctor will be able to tell you better regarding the consumption of the medicine after doing a physical examination of your body.

Although levitra outshines Viagra still a few of its side-effects cannot be ignored. Immediate medical attention is required if you experience chest pain or a slight itching during sexual intercourse.

Experience the miracle of advancement in pharmacy with levitra. The benefits of levitra make it stand one step ahead of Viagra.
