You cant count the benefits of exercising. They are just too numerous. They help control weight, help weight loss, improve your attitude and generally make you feel better. The experts are now telling us that just thirty minutes a day of moving will improve your health.

While I must accept the opinions of so many experts, I still find setting aside the time is a problem in my busy life. If you experience the same problem, you might try some of these ideas to get you going

1. When you go to the mall or grocery store, dont park next to the front door of the store. Leave your car as far from the store as you can. This will give you more of a walk in an effortless way.

2. When the weather suits you, go outside and clean the yard. Just bending and stretching to pick up leaves and trash will burn calories.

3. Try taking the dog for a walk. Your dog will enjoy this very much and keep you moving.

4. At work, perhaps you can walk at lunch time. Ive found that some of my office staff are willing to walk some days with me. This makes the time go faster and yet, Ive exercised during the daylight hours.

Im sure you can find many more reasons and ideas to help motivate you in the right direction. I find that walking in the sunshine helps improve my mood and that I will just make the time when the sun is out. Find your reason to help yourself.

Can Diet and Exercise Help Prevent Cancer?

While everyone is well aware that proper diet and exercise are paramount to good health, still many people find it too much of an inconvenience to watch what they eat and to exercise. These people may feel that the benefits that they may get from all that effort is not worth the hassles of watching calories, cutting fat, running about, and moving weights around. But what if there was a benefit, and I mean a real good benefit, associated with proper diet and exercise? Maybe that would at least make those who dont worry about diet and exercise give a little more thought to it.

Well, as if the already known benefits of proper diet and exercise arent enough to make some people want to incorporate them into their lives, perhaps the following information from Purdue University and Science Daily will be enough incentive to get them off their duffs and give it a try.

According to Dennis Savaiano, dean of Purdues school of consumer and family sciences and professor of foods and nutrition, poor diet and lack of exercise are responsible for just as many cases of cancer as cigarette smoking.
He says, approximately one third of cancer cases are related to smoking, one third are related to poor diet and lack of exercise, and one third are related to genetic or other factors.

Most people are already well aware of the ill health effects of cigarette smoking, but the percentage of obesity and the rate of poor diet in America is a cause for serious concern. It is estimated that 65 of Americans are overweight with 30 being at least clinically obese. This is further escalated by the fact that 15 to 20 of the children in America are considered overweight. The main reason for this alarming statistic overall is the rate of poor diet seen in America.

Savaiano, who is chairman of the Food and Nutrition Science Alliance, along with several other members of the organization, recently reviewed scientific studies on diet and cancer. The group has since issued a statement urging Americans to change their diets in order to help reduce the number of cancer related deaths.

While Savaiano notes that some types of cancer are influenced more by diet than others, nutrition and food scientists agree that these four methods are practical ways to lower the risk of cancer

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.

Avoid highly processed foods that are high in fat and sugar.

Limit or avoid consumption of alcohol.

Get in some moderate or vigorous exercise daily.

Much of the reason why people have trouble getting into a healthy lifestyle can be attributed to lack of knowledge on how to start with exercise programs and proper diet plans, and to marketing which is mostly geared toward foods that are high in fat and excess calories and low in nutritional value. Not much marketing is done to promote fruits and vegetables or whole grains.

Long hours at work also attribute to less meal preparation and more fast food and takeout food purchases. It will take some effort on your part, but making healthier food choices and exercise a part of your life can and most likely will give you rewards that no amount of money can buy.

Erectile Dysfunction And Alternative Remedies

Erectile dysfunction ED, also called impotence, is characterized by a man’s failure to have an erection or keep an erection long enough to finish the sexual intercourse. Severity of ED varies among men, with some having total inability to achieve an erection while others have irregular ability to attain an erection. Other men with mild ED can still sustain brief erections. Impotence is one of the reasons why men fail to perform well in bed. This condition is considered as a horrible experience among men, it can be very stressful and may damage the male self-esteem. Low self-esteem is one the reasons why men are not able to show their full potential and complicate relationships. Sexual failure among men is not something that is openly discussed, they often feel embarrassed and keep it to themselves. However, it is important to know the cause and treatments of impotence to nourish and maintain a healthy self-esteem and self-worth.

Conditions of ED can occur at any age, but it is more common in elderly men. In fact, majority of the male population experience occasional difficulty having or maintaining an erection. In many situations, it is a temporary condition that may disappear with minimal or no treatment at all. Aside from the aging process, ED can also be caused by psychological or physical factors. Psychological factors is commonly caused by anxiety, stress, depression, and dissatisfaction with a partner. Physical factors, on the other hand, can include any ailment that prevents the nervous system from responding to arousal. Injuries to the spinal cord, damage to the nerves in the genital area because of diabetes or surgery may cause ED. In addition to these factors lifestyles that involve excessive alcohol ingestion, smoking, or unhealthy diets may lead to impotence.

However, there are many herbal remedies that are out in the market that are proven to treat ED. These alternative medications are available in different dosage and may include Tongkat Ali and horny goat weed. These two herbs are considered as the world’s most effective aphrodisiacs. Tongkat Ali Eurycoma Longfolia is a flowering plant that can be found in Malaysia and Indonesia. Historically, this plant in its natural habitat was used a herbal folk treatment for various sexual health problems like sexual dysfunction and erectile dysfunction. It has also been used throughout time as a natural sex enhancer. Many scientific studies have proven that Tongkat Ali helps boost libido and testosterone levels, which in return may improve sexual performance. On the other hand, horny goat weed Epimedium works by improving the blood flow to the penis, which then enhances sexual pleasure and performance. It also helps men increase their stamina, last longer during sex, and reduce premature ejaculation.

Despite the existence of these products, men are still encouraged to talk to doctors and other medical specialists so that they can weigh the advantages and disadvantages of these herbal remedies. Erectile dysfunction can be treated but it should be done under close supervision of medical professionals. Improving sexual health by changing lifestyles, improving diets, or including exercise programs in routines should be prioritized rather than seeking medical or alternative help.
