Are You Trying to Scam Your Diet?

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Lao Tzu

Are you trying to scam your diet?

Now, be honest with yourself. Do you "forget" to stock diet friendly foods? What about absentmindedly ordering that Grande Mocha Malt Frappuccino at Starbucks last Monday morning? You know, the Monday you were going to start your diet – again?

Maybe you&39;re the type that figures once the morning diet is shot to hell, you may as well blow the rest of the day? Or, better yet, wait until next month?

What if you just needed a gentle reminder when you first wake up while your brain is still foggy? Try these two simple tricks Run a piece of masking tape across your bedroom doorway – something you&39;ll run smack into first thing in the morning. Nothing like being caught in a spider web to enhance the memory! Now run another piece across the bathroom mirror where you shave or apply make-up – another instant reminder.

My last favorite "reminder" trick is just a plain &39;ol mind game. Hide everything! Trying to break the high calorie coffee habit? Stash the coffeemaker; ditch the mucho calorie Coffee-mate.

Wish you could pass on McDonald&39;s for lunch every day? It&39;s hard to buy anything if you leave your money at home. Yeah, you could hit up your coworkers, but then you need to ask yourself "How badly do I want to be thin?"

Could it be that you&39;re afraid? Scared that you&39;ll fail again? You feel nervous that it will be too hard or complicated? Leery of not understanding all the "rules" for the newest diet you&39;re trying?

Well, clearly you&39;ve been trying the wrong ones! Why not give the Kimkins diet a try?

The basic diet is so simple you could write it on the back of your hand. It&39;s so easy your 2nd grader will have it down pat in 30 seconds. Complicated? Not even. The purpose of Kimkins is very simple – fast weight loss, no messing around, no coddling.

Our mental attitude and mindset is everything when it comes to mastering weight loss. If you&39;re not on board consciously, then your subconscious is going to play every trick in the book on you – and win. Don&39;t let that happen. Be the boss. Outsmart yourself!

Oh, and next time you&39;re going to "forget" to pass on your favorite Starbucks creation, try to "remember" that Grande Mocha Malt Frappuccino will set you back 600 calories and 95 curbs!

This article is written by Kimkins Diet founder, Kimmer, who struggled with morbid obesity for 25 years before losing 198 lbs in 1 year and developing her quick weight loss diet, Kimkins. The focus of the Kimkins plan is lean low carb, less fat than Atkins, less carbs than South Beach.

Life Advice A Lost Friend Speaks

When my friend sensed that in a few weeks the light of life was about to be extinguished, and that there was no more hope for him, he called me to his side and said, “If only I had lived my life differently, I might not have felt such an emptiness now. Promise me,” he caught my hand, “Promise me that you won’t make the same mistake.” And when I asked him what mistakes, he asked me to get a pen and paper and to jot down his last words. Here they are in condensed form

1 Talk less; listen more.

2 Listen to your grandfather’s stories about his youth. When he’s gone, you will relive the bond through these memories.

3 Invite friend over for a snack or dinner even if the house is a mess.

4 Eat popcorn in the living room even though its messy.

5 Invite the friends who have children home. Don’t worry about their children creating a mess.

6 Sit on the grass even though it dirties your pants.

7 Never buy something just because it lasts for a long time or because it is practical.

8 Stay in bed and at home when sick and stop pretending that the world cannot go one without me for a day.

9 Light up the wonderfully crafted candles and let them burn out. Better this than they accumulate dust in the closet.

10 Share life’s responsibilities with a partner, not only expenses.

11 Meant for Women Instead of waiting for the pregnancy to get over, cherish each moment in your heart. Understand that the life in you is the only chance you will get to help god create magic.

12 Let your children hug and kiss you whenever they wish to. Don’t stop them by saying things like later, go wash your hands first, we have to eat dinner.

13 Say the following two phrases as often as possible “I love you” and “I am sorry.”

14 Stop worrying about who loves or and who doesn’t or about what others have or don’t have.

15 Cherish all personal human relations.

16 Play with a pet every day. Laugh and run with it and take part in all its antics.

17 Spend more time with the people who love you.

18 Stop sweating because of all the small details and problems of life.

19 Grab every moment, look at it and live it. That moment will never return again.

Her name was Susan, and she had one six year old daughter. Susan taught me these few basic ideals that I have tried to follow in honour of her memory. It has made me a better man, a much nicer husband and in general, a happier person. Even now I can hear her say that God has blessed each and every one of us, and that we should accept these blessings and strive to become stronger both physically, mentally and also emotionally. I will always remember what she said to me the last time we met “Jack, you are lucky. Don’t blow it.”

The Motivation for Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery has become increasingly popular over the years. So, why is this and what is motivating people to pursue it?

Over 14 million pursued plastic surgery in 2005. Why? The reasons are different for many people, but a few common ones are consistently sited.

In the past, we were pretty much stuck with what we came into the world with at birth. For many people, this meant living with body aspects that drove them nuts. Bumps on the nose, flat buttocks, pockets of fats that no amount of exercise addressed, small breasts and so on are all areas regularly cites as problems. In the past, these problems often were categorized as an issue of vanity, but wrongly so. Such perceived defects lead to problems with confidence, and confidence is a key to success in business and personal relationships.

In many ways, people get plastic surgery to boost their confidence in themselves. Regardless of what others think, a person can nearly be disabled by their physical performance. Research on exercise and diet regimens has shown that individuals that improve their physical appearance are much more confident and happy. It is a simple fact. If you were born with a hawk nose or some other issue, there simply is not any way to exercise it in to shape. So, should you be forced to live your entire life with something that bothers you? Of course, not. If enhancing your look makes you feel better, who is anyone else to judge you?

An additional reason people get plastic surgery involves the never ending fight with time. We age every single day, and our body shows it. As people age, they feel compelled to fight against the effects, an impulse that has existed throughout history. The simple fact is the world is a dog eat dog world, and personal image is part of the competition. It is a well settled fact that more attractive people do better. This is particularly true in the business world, and is reflected by the fact that more men are pursuing plastic surgery than ever before. In modern society, you are expected to live longer and work longer. Plastic surgery provides an option for remaining competitive on the all important image stand point.

Finally, some people pursue plastic surgery as a remedy to an unfortunate problem. Plastic surgery is undertaken after mastectomies for instance. Body abnormalities resulting from birth defects or trauma are also an area plastic surgery provides an answer for. Surely, nobody could object to such personal enhancements!

What is the motivation to get plastic surgery? Watch one of the reality shows in which plastic surgery plays a part. You will see the answer at the end of each show.

Nine Kickass Ways To Burn The Flab In Seven Days!

1. Holistic Fitness is crucial Keep your overall fitness in mind instead of just one facet of it. Realize that there are four major aspects that one work on aerobic fitness, endurance and muscle strength, body composition and flexibility. Develop and build upon each of these every training day.

2. Focus on the sports objectives Hone parts of the body which is most used for your primary activity activity. If you play soccer you would want to hammer on endurance, and if you compete at karate you might rather focus on strength training.

3. Tag your girlfriend Chugging along on the fitness train is simpler when you work with someone. Misery loves company as we know. Draw upon your girlfriends enthusiasm when yours is running low. Youll perk up all the more as she depends on you to motivate her. But before you bring her, ensure that she shares the same goals as yourself.

4. Bring the tape No, not the VHS, you lazy lump! The measuring tape. Take stock of your stats, including your arms, chest, waist, thighs and wherever else that you are trying to make sexier. Get a habit out of re-measuring once a week. As you admire some measurable results, you motivate yourself all the more!

5. Bring in the Goals Jot attainable short and long term goals for yourself! Dont just hit the homerun and pat yourself on the back once you reach them. No, I want you to break all stops and reward yourself with something special! But please, dont make the reward something that will be detrimental to your goals, such as chugging down beers or popping tarts into that gut. Make your goals reachable. Set goals that are challenging but not depressing.

6. Time to commit Set holy appointments with yourself. Can the excuses as to why you cant workout. Jot them on your calendar, highlight them and draw all manner of motivational pix next to them. Stick with it! Respect this time for yourself and let others know about it. When someone asks you out for coffee let them know your workout dates, and ask them to join you. This way people will know that during that time you are unavailable. The moment you accept gut swelling coffee outs, you will postpone future workouts.

7. Reach out and streeeetch Stretching exercises make any workout easier- it floods your body with happy chemicals like endorphins. Take care to stretch before a workout and afterwards as well.

8. Your Personal Space Where you run the gauntlet is just as important as what you do. Ensure that you are comfortable and enervated in your chosen workout place. Good places include TV magazines and music. Keep water and fruit bowls within reach. How many times have you used getting drinks as an excuse to stop cardio?

9. Please the lenses What can be more motivating than before and after shots of people who have lost weight or built muscle? Sheer eye-candy! Now what if photos were of you? You see yourself everyday and sometimes it is easy to forget the old you. Take those photos right now and look at them often. Looking at the before photos and looking in the mirror is not enough. Take after photos every week.

What Can We Learn From Long-Term Exercisers?

How is your exercise program going? Having trouble staying on course? Maybe you knew you wouldnt be able to adhere to a routine and are now worried about how you are going to stay motivated. What can we learn from those who stick to an exercise program? What are their motivators?

We have learned from exercise research that the number one reason a long-term exerciser continues with an active lifestyle is to achieve fitness and maintain health. This is an expected response because health and fitness have always been the most frequently sighted response to exercise. Here are the ten motivating factors that keep people exercising for the long-term and not just short-term goals 1 feelings of well being, 2 increased energy and vitality, 3 enjoyment of activity, 4 better sleep, 5 being more alert 6 look good, 7 stress reduction, 8 maintain body weight 9 maintain health 10 fear of being over-weight. Now who wouldnt want to experience any of these benefits? One thing I want to point out is that appearance or feeling better and weight management were not the most important motivators for long-term exercisers.

Long-term exercisers make exercise a priority. This characteristic is very important to appreciate if you are going to be successful in adopting and maintaining a fitness routine. Priority was the only influential strategy long-term exercisers acknowledged. If you make exercise a priority in your life, you will have a better chance of staying with your program for the long-term.

How do you go from being unmotivated and too busy, to being physically active? Weve seen from long-term exercisers they have empowered themselves to examine their daily and weekly schedules in an effort to make time for exercise. Physical activity is a priority to them. For you to be successful you must make exercise a priority.

Get started by choosing an activity that you enjoy. Focus on being physically fit instead of focusing on your physical appearance. Do not make your focus physical appearance, but rather on being physically fit. Think in terms of long-term goals of being healthy and fit instead of short-term results of needing to lose 10 pounds before summer arrives. You can start with moderate activity but aspire to achieve greater fitness through vigorous activities.

Remember, nothing was more powerful for long-term exercisers than the positive feelings they got from being physically fit. These feelings were not immediate, but after several weeks they were worth waiting for. The positive feelings created a strong incentive to keep exercising. Positive feelings to anticipate and appreciate are increased energy, overall feeling of well-being, feeling of accomplishment because you committed to exercise, and sleeping better. There is also a feeling of confidence when you make a goal, schedule it as priority, take the actions and follow through to that goal.

Resolve to be physically fit, making physical activity a priority. Develop a goal of exercise, make it a priority and be committed to your goal. This will help exercise become a lifestyle in your life. Persist long-term and reap all the positive feelings that come from being regularly active. You will enjoy it. Get started now! 5 PROVEN Tips To Help You Wipeout Your Depression So You Can Live A Happy Life

Are you lonely?

Did you know that being lonely is a normal part of our everyday lives.

Lets face it, we’ve all been there.

We get depressed when we fail in our exams, when we’re rejected by the person we love, or when someone very close to us passes away.

That’s just part of life.

But, depression, however, can be more fatal than just plain loneliness. It could render Life-Long consequences that could ruin your Self-Esteem, Health, and Well-Being in the process.

Well today is your lucky day because I’m going to share with you some great tips to help you conquer the ‘Melancholy Mood’ so you can get the MOST bliss out of your daily activities.

So, with that said, lets go to Tip 1.

Tip 1. Do you get enough Light and Sunshine?

Did you know that lack of exposure to sunlight is responsible for the secretion of the hormone called Melatonin, which could trigger a dispirited mood andor a lethargic condition.

Melatonin is only produced in the dark. What it does is it lowers the body temperature and makes you feel sluggish.

So, if you are always cooped up in your room with the curtains closed, it would be difficult to restrain yourself from staying in bed.

This is the reason why many people suffer from depression much more often in winter than in the other seasons.

It’s simply because the nights are longer.

If you can’t afford to get some sunshine, you can always lighten up your room with brighter lights to help offset the darkness.

Or…

You could go have lunch outside the office for a change and take frequent walks in the early afternoon instead of driving your car over short distances.

The choices are endless. It’s really up to you.

Tip 2. Keep Busy and Get Inspired.

You’ll be more likely to overcome any feeling of depression if you keep your mind busy doing the activities you like doing the most.

Do the things you love.

If you’re a little short on cash, you could engage in simple stuff like taking a leisurely stroll in the park, playing sports, reading books, or engaging in any activity that you have passion for and would love to pursue.

Also, set a Goal.

No matter how difficult or discouraging life can be, remain firm and have an unshakable belief that you are capable of doing anything you desire.

With this kind of positive attitude, you will attain a cheerful disposition to beat the blues.

Tip 3. Take a Break. Sit back and Relax.

I mean it.

Listen to some soothing music you like. Soak in a nice warm bath. Simply take a break from your stressful workload and spend the day just goofing around doing the things you love.

In other words, go have fun. Life’s to short as it is.

Tip 4. Maintain a healthy diet and Stay Fit.

Avoid foods with lots of Sugar, Caffeine or Alcohol.

Sugar and caffeine may give you a brief moment of energy; but they will later bring about Anxiety, Tension and Internal problems.

Alcohol on the other hand is a depressant. Many people would drink alcohol to simply “forget their problems.”

All they’re doing is aggravating their conditions in the process.

Also, did you know that exercising regularly is a vital depression buster.

Why you ask?

Simply because it allows your body to produce more Endorphins than usual.

Endorphins are sometimes called “the happy chemicals” because of their Stress-Reducing and Happiness-Inducing properties.

Tip 5. Get a Social Life outside of work.

No man is an island. Your inner circle of friends are there to give you moral support.

Spending time and engaging in worthwhile activities with them could give you a very satisfying feeling.

And we all now… nothing feels better than having group support.

And… never underestimate the power of Touch.

What I mean is… doesn’t it feel so good when someone pats you on the back and gives you words of encouragement during your most challenging times?

Hug or embrace someone today.

Get intimate.

Establish close ties with your family and friends.

The love and care expressed by others could tremendously boost your immune system and fend off illnesses.

Best of all, you’ll live a more secured and happy life.

Now go give those 5 Tips a try and see how they pan out for you.
