What Is an Essential Fat?


You may have heard that essential fats are an important aspect to maintaining the health of your body. But what exactly are they?

Basically, there are two truly essential fatty acids, Linoleic and Linolenic. You may have heard of these referred to as Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids.

So, why are they called essential? The term essential in the life sciences refers to the fact that a nutrient cannot be synthesized by the body. Thus, you must have a dietary or supplemental source to supply your need for these acids.

You probably heard of the 8 essential amino acids. It’s the same idea here but in this case we are referring to fatty acids rather than an amino acid.

These fatty acids exist in and are used in every cell of your body. So they are crucial to a cell’s health and therefore to our health as people. The good news is that in North America, you generally get enough Omega -6 in your diet. Omega-3 has presented a question mark to researchers. Are we getting enough or not?

Fortunately, you can get Omega-3 from fish and certain nut oils. If you have any doubt at all, you can get Omega three from flax oil,which is in abundant supply at your local health food store.

Don’t let the phrase essential fat or essential fatty acid fool you. These are not going to make you gain unwanted weight.

As those of us who truly understand weight loss and gain can tell you, the key to losing or gaining fat storage from your body centers around the bodies short term energy storage supply.

Advice for men who want to look ripped


To look cut, with great muscle definition, many people have the misconception that you need to hit the gym. That’s the general belief lift less weight and do more reps for definition. For bulk, lift heavier weight and do fewer reps.

The idea that less weight tones muscles is wrong. Less weight and more reps builds endurance. For explosive power, do fewer reps with heavier weight. Just remember that to really increase strength the general consensus is that you have to work with at least 60 of your maximum lift the heaviest weight at which you can complete a singe repetition. Definition is not an issue when deciding how many reps to do and how much weight to lift.

In reality, there is no such thing as lifting for definition. Muscular definition is one thing muscle mass minus body fat. You cannot lift to make your muscles more defined. To look ripped, you have to shed some fat.

It starts with your diet. You have to eat right. There are many ways to eat right. One thing that works well for almost everyone is to cut out milk and milk by-products creamers for coffee from the diet. Also, don’t eat any complex carbohydrates after lunch. A perfect dinner might be salad and tuna fish.

In addition to lifting weights, do cardio often. Many people are afraid that they will lose muscle by doing cardio. In reality, doing cardio in addition to eating well is the only way to get cut because you have to lose that body fat. The more cut you are, the more jacked you look.

In conclusion, lift weights, eat well, do cardio, and look ripped.

Common Health Blunders Made By Doctor Averse Men


Men- its time to take care of your bodies! Most of you take better care of your cars than you do your health. Why is this? According to new medical information, the essential male blunder is the notion many men have that a real man is a man with no vulnerabilities. Well its time to recognize you can seek help when you need it, and you should before its too late.

What can all this neglect lead to? Heres some major health errors men tend to make

Denying the obvious. Blood in the stool, weird rashes or moles, sudden thirstiness.
Denying even something as serious as a heart attack. When the signs of a heart attack appear you should immediately call 911.
Not getting a prostate exam because it’s unpleasant. A digital rectal exam is a screening test for prostate cancer, and is recommended to be done along with a PSA blood test.
Not being examined for colon cancer. Most men should have a colonoscopy starting at 50 and every five to 10 years thereafter.
Not being aware of testosterone levels. Experts recommend getting serum testosterone blood tests in middle age.
Not checking yourself for testicular cancer. Strikes younger men, 15 to 35.
Eating an unhealthy diet. Fat intake should be maximum 10 of your diet.
Hiding depression. Ask for help, treatment is often very successful.
Smoking. Your doctor can give you a regimen to quit.

No- you dont have to wait for something to fall off before you go to the doctor. Take these symptoms seriously and get help if you think you need it. And we wonder why men have a shorter life expectancy than women. Brush off the embarrassment and visit your doctor regularly.

What is Zylorin?


On the Zylorin website you will find the absurd statement “Fact, Zylorin has achieved elite status as the most effective weight loss product on the market today!”

I guess there is a sucker born every minute. Don’t believe for a second that Zylorin is the “most effective weightless product on the market today”.

While visiting their site, I had a chance to take the Zylorin “survey”. It was a total joke. You check little boxes which go nowhere, just give you the comfort of making the check? They should add a couple more, “Do you fall for total hype easily,” “Do you feel bad now that you’ve confirmed by our survey you are FAT?”

Have you noticed the fad of placing some health and beauty magazines at the top of diet pill companies’ websites? Is every diet pill ever made in a magazine or are companies lying? Well, we already know Zylorin has achieved “most effective weight loss product”, it must certainly be in People magazine. Wrong.

But seriously people, right when a diet pill makes a claim like “We’re the best”, you really need to put your thinking caps on and ask, “Ok, prove it.” The listed ingredients are little more than a stew of trendy ingredients to make you say, “Ooh, I’ve heard of that one, and that one, and that one. This must be great.”

Don’t let “before and after photos” become your evidence of efficacy for a diet pill, I’ve seen the same before and after photos on different products it makes me sick. If you really want something good, it needs a double blind study conducted by the FDA proving results. BUT since that will never happen unless you’re a billion dollar drug company who both pays for such a study and bribes the FDA to publish biased results, you’ll need to rely on a little education. First, if a product-like Zylorin-claims to be the greatest ever created, you don’t buy it because you know they’re lying. Why would the greatest diet pill ever created even offer a money back guarantee? They advertise both so much, and yet they don’t realize it’s like saying “Come to heaven, here in hell.

Me? I find that title humorous, but if I had to explain why I think it’s funny, I’m not sure that I could. It might be the underlying but subtle notion that liberation is in order for someone. Come to think of it, I guess liberation is in order.

Pavel wants to show us a better way to fitness and free us from our need to spend an inordinate amount of time in the gym and spend it more wisely and effectively, so that we can have great physical fitness and time to enjoy it as well.

As you can see by glancing at his pictures, Pavel not only knows how to develop an amazing physique but he also knows how to keep himself flexible at the same time.

Maybe now you can understand why I think this man has some answers to fitness that we might not be able to find anywhere else, nor all in one convenient location either.

Dangerous Scale


Most people who are trying to lose weight often become frustrated by the number that is displayed on the scale. As a personal trainer I use the scale as a tool to determine an individuals fat mass. Multiplying a persons body fat percentage by the weight measured on the scale easily accomplishes this. The fat mass number is then subtracted from their body weight, thus giving the individuals lean mass, which is the muscle, water, and internal organs of the body. For example, two females that are 5’6 and weight 135lbs can look very different from each other, even to the extreme of being polar opposites. One might have a body fat percentage of 33, while the other might have a percentage of only 22.

The individuals whose weight will fall the most significantly on the scale are those individuals that are obese. Generally as body fat percentages go for males, 10 and under indicates very lean, 11-15 indicates a lean individual, 16-20 is average, and 20 and higher is considered obese. For women, the following percentages are used 20 and under indicates a very lean individual, 21-25 indicates a lean individual, 26-34 is average, and 34 and greater is considered obese.

A qualified personal trainer can check your body fat percentage with a skin caliper and will be able to calculate your fat mass. A realistic goal for most people is to loose 3 body fat in 4-6 weeks. This is done without starving the body, and being on a rigorous exercise program.

So get your body fat percentage and lose weight by the test, not the scale!

Its a healthy body that can home a healthy mind. Fitness has been one of the prime considerations for the humans for ages. Fitness is fast becoming a very important characteristic of the human beings. The heavy work schedules and the long working hours require a person to be mentally and physically fit to take the toll of such work. So dont forget to include a fitness schedule in your work schedule.
